Portrait of the Dębica County

 

Favorable geographical location, hospitable residents, business-friendly surroundings, tourist attractions, interesting traces of the past, tradition and culture of many generations as well as unique natural values ​​- this is the shortest description of the Dębica County.

The county covers a little over 776 km² and has 135,000 residents. It is located in south-eastern Poland, on the border of the Sandomierz Basin and the Carpathian Foothills.

Dębica County is located on the communication route connecting the western and eastern borders of the country, it is located on the longest European route E40, which starts in Calais on the English Channel in France and ends in Kazakhstan, on the border with China.

Dębica County has two exits from the A4 motorway: Dębica-Wschód and Dębica-Zachód, that  allow quick access to the airports Kraków-Balice and Rzeszów-Jasionka. The E30 railway line connecting Germany, Poland and Ukraine also runs through the county.

The county consists of the municipalities of: Brzostek, Pilzno, Czarna, Dębica, Jodłowa and Żyraków, and its capital is the town of Dębica.
